The history of the hotel:
The former inn “Zur Crone” can be traced back to early modern times. In 1673, the innkeeper Andreas Winden was named “Schildwirt”. The “Schildwirt” had a concession to put up a sign warning passers-by that they could find accommodation here with their horse and cart. Other citizens of the town were not allowed to accommodate strangers. In the 19th century, the “Zur Krone” inn was run by Heinrich Caspar Schlemmer. In 1901, Peter Höhn took over the hotel, which is still owned by the family today.
