Outlet Montabaur continues to advance its digital customer experience with a major update to its app. With immediate effect, an AI-powered Personal Shopping Assistant supports customers in selecting products in a more targeted way – personalised, occasion-based, and across brands.

The new AI feature advises users on a wide range of occasions, including weddings, garden parties, business events, and sports activities, and recommends suitable products from the outlet’s stores. This makes the shopping journey significantly more convenient, inspiring, and efficient – both before and during a visit to Outlet Montabaur.

The Outlet Montabaur app is showing very strong performance: more than 100,000 active users now rely on the app as a digital shopping companion. This success is also reflected in business results – around 20 percent of total revenue is now generated directly or indirectly via the app.

“These figures clearly show that digital services are no longer an add-on, but a key driver of revenue and footfall,” says Stephan Schäfer. “With AI-powered shopping advice, we are taking the shopping experience to a whole new level.”

Looking ahead, the project is set to expand beyond the Montabaur location. In the medium term, the app is planned to become a standalone product available to other shopping and outlet centre operators. The goal is to build a scalable platform that intelligently combines data-driven advice, customer loyalty, and revenue growth.
